Your pi score is very good :)

If you pass me it'll give me some incentive to practice pi again. It's my weakest of the five competitions so a faster score would be nice. Numbers are hard haha

Nice progression since 2019, well done :)
And you're still young, you can still improve!

But you don't need to multiply by 1.2 the score of Pi.
CPM = characters per minute
WPM = words per minute

I assumed 1 word = 6 characters when I created Typing Zone, because it was a standard in France at this time.
Then I made the site more international.
In English they always assume 1 word = 5 characters (because English words are shorter) but I had to keep the same system for legacy.
So that's why you multiply by 1.2 but only for WPM.

However, I used my technique convert cpm to wpm. The formula will look like this
(CPM EU / 5 ) × 1.2 = WPM
CPM EU × 1.2 = CPM
CPM EU / 5 = WPM EU
WPM EU × 1.2 = WPM
For alphabet it will look like this
(26 alphabets/seconds) x 60 = CPM EU
(26 alphabets/seconds) x (60/5) or 12 = WPM EU
(26 alphabets/seconds) × [(60/5) × 1.2] or 72 = CPM
(26 alphabets/seconds) x [(60/5) or 12 × 1.2] or 14.4 = WPM
Easy as that. 😎
